Saitek X65-F

Post by lsm2006 »

Been playing around with xpadder to program an X-65F controller instead of saiteks SST software. Xpadder will not show the last 4 position hat and the 2 position K switch. The control panel that Xpadder brings up only shows the option for 32 buttons, but it looks like 38 are needed. Saitek drivers up to date, and all hats and buttons show in their software and control panel.

Is this a limitation of Xpadder or the X-65F controller and Saiteks drivers? Any ideas?

Thanks

Just to check, do any of the axes values alter instead?

On xpadder's controller properties

Slider 2 is showing 0
Button 0
POV -1 -1 -1 -1

All the buttons and POV hat come up when making a profile which takes it to button press 32. There is one additional 4 way switch and 2 way switch (up and down, the K switch) that do not appear. i.e. button presses above 32 I assume.

Hope this is of some help.

Also wondering if there is a way, or consideration given to a larger profile screen. A controller like the X65F gets pretty crowded on a 256x512.

In the Controller Properties window click the Control Panel button to open the Windows Game Controllers Control Panel.
There should be a way to test your controller and see how many buttons it activates.

A larger controller area is planned.

In the Windows game control panel, it has 32 buttons.. all can be activated.

On the throttle unit of the X65 one four way hat, and the K switch (2 position, up and down) do not get any response.

Saiteks SST software will show a response when pressing these two switch's so Windows 7 x64 is seeing these key press's with that software. Saiteks software brings up a different control panel, and all button press's work there.

Kind of thinking its a hardware thing with the controller.

Complex controllers like this usually install a driver and also an optional program that adds key emulation and other options. Is this SST software like this?

Do you have a game you can test these switches with in the define keys option. Are any games able to pick them up?
