Click on a button assignment and once the virtual keyboard/mouse window comes up click on either right click or left click.

Sorry but I'm just not smart enough? I can move around on the d-pad but as far as the usage of the mouse clicks (right and left) it's out my reach.

This is a picture of the virtual keyboard and mouse assignment window. As you can see there is a picture of a mouse on the right side. Click on either the right or left mouse click buttons.
