Exact same for me....there is a way to mod the Patch.dat files....it works for a while but then for some reason the modded files seem to get repaired by the game forcing you to load modded files again. About every other session I have to do this and it's a pain. Great game but it is just unplayable ...

Update on this subject 5/15/2013: got this directly from Gearbox "You can disable the controller by using a command line option when you start the game. Right click on "Borderlands 2" in the Steam Game Library, select "Properties", then click the "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS" button and enter... -NoControlle...
