To create an assignment that does one action when you tap it and another when you hold it is to use hold zones.
Simply do something like this in the advanced assignment window: [X] [Hold Zone .50 sec] [Y]. This will do exactly what you want. Set the hold zone time to your liking.

Xpadder does not interact with any game. It only emulates keyboard keys and mouse movements. So you would want to map the normal keys that would go to the left joystick to the right joystick. Its as simple as that.

Xpadder is completely self contained so it doesn't not "install" traditionally like other programs. With that said you don't have to worry about uninstalling it. Just download the newest version and run that one. Having 5.3 still on your system somewhere will have no effect on the new version.

No actually its the opposite. Doom already runs as administrator, aka elevated privileges, so you need to do the same with Xpadder. Run Xpadder (not doom) to run as administrator. That should do the trick.

Ok to basically do this alls you need to do is use hold zones. Click on the button that you want to use as your crouch/prone button (most likely B as thats what it is in the 360 version). Ok now you will see the virtual keyboard screen. On the bottom right click on Advanced. From there you will see ...

Re: Thinking of getting new Gamepad
Xpadder will support it but will not allow for separate trigger axises. Separate trigger axises is made possible by Xinput which is only support by 360 controllers. All other gamepads use DirectInput which does not allow for the triggers to be on separate axises.

One thing before I go on is you have to understand is Xpadder does NOT in any way directly interact with your games. Xpadder only "talks" to your Operating System (Windows). Your game has no clue Xpadder is even running. With that said when you go to setup Xpadder you need to either disable native c...

Sorry the Play and Charge kit only powers your controller. Even though its by USB it still only transmits power, not data. Sorry but this is Microsofts fault. You will need to purchase the wireless receiver for a wireless 360 controller to work.

Yes you can. When you go to assign a key to a button and the "virtual keyboard" comes up, click on advanced. When that screen comes up go back to the virtual keyboard that is still displayed. Now click on the 2 keys you want assigned to the one button. That should do it for you.

Having the triggers tied to the same axis is a limitation of DirectInput. The reason it works fine for a 360 gamepad is because 360 controllers use XInput. Its a new input by Microsoft that only 360 controllers to use. Sorry but there is no way that i know of to get around this.

Since you have it successfully installed on your PC then it should show up in Windows Game Controllers. With your controller connected and turned on, just go check that. If it shows up (which i'm sure it does) then Xpadder will definitely allow you to use your gamepad with Call of Duty.

I thought deleting the Xpadder.ini and letting Xpadder create a new one fixes this problem? There must be some notable changes in the .ini that Xpadder creates in version 5.6 so when it goes to use a .ini that was created by 5.3 or below it generates a range check error.
