My laptop sees the stick as PC USB Wired Stick 8818, but doesn't register any stick motions or button presses. Similarly, Xpadder sees the stick plugged in, but doesn't register any inputs.
I read that this could be a problem for Nvidia chipsets, but I have Intel, which these sticks supposedly work well with. My 360 Madcatz TE stick works just fine with Xpadder, but then again the PC saw its inputs immediately. Further complicating things, Madcatz hasn't supported these controllers with drivers at all. Any suggestions?

The original PS3 pad acts exactly that way too as there are no official drivers for it.
Try to install Motioninjoy, maybe it also works for your controller.

Tried motioninjoy with no luck... Also tried joy2key. I can't find anything resembling a useable driver. Starting to think there just may not be a good solution.

It's a PS3 only controller. So if Motioninjoy doesn't work, you can forget using it on PC.
