Xpadder isn't detecting my PS2 controller! Help!

Post by awnbtopjnh »

Hey!

I can't get this to work, and I can't for the life of me figure out what's wrong. I am using a Joytech PS2 to USB converter with my Dualshock 2. I have the drivers installed and my PC recognizes it as a USB controller (as pictured here). So far so good, right? There's a little light on the controller that indicates that it's on, and the controller even works just fine with a NES emulator.

However, Xpadder just will not recognize it. Any ideas on what might be wrong? Thanks!

EDIT: I tried changing USB ports and rebooting, didn't work. One thing I noticed though is that when I right click the controller symbol in the control panel (the one i posted a picture of), it displays the same empty list of installed gaming units that Xpadder does. I am using Windows 8 64-bit, by the way.
