Hi,
I'm using a Logitech 3D extreme and trying to use it in Star Trek Online.
Think I have the joystick movement down. Hopefully.
But to access all of the possible commands when in a space battle, you need to hold down the shift, control, or alt keys for the different hotkey layouts.
Ok so use the numpad for the numbers. No issue there. Joystick is right next to the numpad, so I have the number 11 joystick button (one of the ones on the base) assigned as a shift key and set as a toggle. So press it and shift is pushed, press it again and shift is lifted up.
Works fine when just testing. However once I get into the game, it will work once. Then the shift key is always held down and the button will not work.
I minimize the game, click on the button outside of the game, and it goes back to working.
So how do I get it to work within the game all the time?
Hope someone can help out.
Thanks,
Marhalt

Try to assign to other shift key, there are games that distinguish the right form the left one.
