If I buy the Xbox 360 wireless gaming receiver for my controller, will I still need to use xpadder?

You don't NEED Xpadder but you will WANT Xpadder when you find out many of your games don't support controllers. Xpadder uses input from your controller to output key presses and mouse movements to Windows so you can use your controller with games or any other program you want. Some users use Xpadder and a controller as a remote for their home theater PCs.
