Why does the controller unload after i open

I cant on earth figure out why this is happening. I open up Xpadder and my Logitech Dual Action game pad starts up, then shuts off the moment the program starts. Cant edit or create a new controller. Don't know how to fix this issue :\

Exit Xpadder, right click the Xpadder icon in the notification area/system tray and choose "Close".
1. Does the controller show up in Windows Game Controllers control panel?
Start Xpadder.
2. Is the controller still in there (number one above)?
2a. If yes, does Xpadder show the search animation or is a tab appear?
2b. If a tab appears, what color is it?

If its white then Xpadder sees it, if its red then Xpadder saw it but no longer sees it.
