Windows 7 Orientation Changes

Post by Taro42 »

Hello - This is my first time posting but I could not find a similar topic. I'm using a wireless Xbox 360 controller on Windows 7. The exact game I'm trying to run it on is Wolfenstein 3d (the original FPS). The controller co-operates for awhile but will randomly send me back to the desktop. No biggie there but it always changes my resolution to 800 x 600 (again no big deal) but the real issue is that it changes my orientation to Portrait (ie. my screen flips sideways). Even the mouse behaves as if my screen was rotated 90 degrees. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Thanks in advance :)

Never mind - solved it myself through trial and error. It seems Windows has some interesting shortcuts which are not commonly known. Apparently Control + Shift + any Arrow key can "flip" your screen sideways, upside down and whatnot. Why Microsoft doesn't include an option to disable these things is still a mystery however...
