controller activation

Noob question!!!

1. Downloaded xpadder
2. Saved file in documents
3. Created a profile with button configuration (360 controller)
4. Load PC game
5. Controller non responsive when i try to make an action. Only center button is active.

My question is why no movement on the controller. Should i leave a program open while playing the game (OS Windows 7)

Also i am a basic member on the forums i would like to be added to the elite forums for updates ect...

What game are you playing? 2 things can be wrong. Your game might have antihack software that blocks Xpadder's (GameGuard is notorious for this) process. If this is the reason then there is nothing we can do. The other reason is that your game might run at elevate privileges which then you need to run Xpadder as administrator. To do this, right click Xpadder's icon and click on Run as Administrator. That should fix your problem.
