Being told the program file is incorrectly named

._cache_XPadder.exe

Recommended Name
Xpadder.exe

Alternate Name
Xpadder2021.05.01.exe

The name of the program file must start with "Xpadder". Close this program and
rename the program file.


Ive been using the program with no problems, this morning all of a sudden i get this message. the file in the file location is named as the recommended and correct name, when opening task manager however it shows it named as the current name ._cache_xpadder.exe. I tried right clicking it in task manager and selecting properties but it wont allow me to change the name. It says theres already a file with the name XPadder.exe, i try Xpadder2.exe and it wont save anyway

You first need to close Xpadder fully by right-clicking the Xpadder icon by the clock.
Now check Task Manager to ensure no versions of Xpadder are running (including ones with a prefix in the name)
Now from Explorer navigate to the folder containing Xpadder and run Xpadder directly.
