Simulate keyboard strokes by moving the mouse ?

Post by BlueScreenJunky »

Hi !
I'd like to know if it's at all possible to simulate the keyboard with a mouse axis : For exemple if I move the mouse upwards, it would press the "up" arrow key, and if I move it downwards it would press the down arrowkey. It would be really useful to people who use spinners like this one, it would allow us to use it even with games that are not compatible with spinners.

And if it's not possible right now, would you please consider adding that in a future release ?
Thanx !

This is actually something completely different of what Xpadder is made for, but I know a way how to do this.

Apart from Xpadder you need also the freeware tool PPjoy (http://ppjoy.blogspot.com/2009/11/final ... rsion.html).
With PPjoy you can set up a virtual controller and control it with the mouse. So Xpadder now can translate the stick movement of this virtual controller in keyboard keys.

You should try ppjoy first, if you are happy with the way PPjoy translates the mouse movement into stick movement.
PPjoy moves the stick directly like the mouse. So for example, if you move the move up you have to move it down again you leave the upper area.

If you should have problems with PPjoy feel free to ask.

OK thanx !
I'll definitely look into PPJoy, and then probably buy xpadder if it works.
