Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (X360)

Post by Primal Fear »

This profile makes the triggers working as "Fire" (right trigger) and "EEV Vision/Zoom/Sniper" (left trigger).

Code: Select all

;--- Xpadder Profile Data ---
DataType=Profile
Version=2011.06.02
Name=SCCT (X360)
Set1TriggerLeftName=EEV, Zoom, Sniper
Set1TriggerLeftSlots=PAUSE 0.01s,1,RELEASE ZONE 0.02s,PAUSE 0.01s,1
Set1TriggerRightName=Fire
Set1TriggerRightSlots=Left Mouse Button (1)
You need to configure the rest in the game under Settings->Controls->Joystick. Click before on the checkbox of "Use Joystick" to activate it.
These are my configurations:

    Joy 1 (A)
    Joy 9 (left stick button)
    Joy 10 (right stick button)

    Actions
    empty (right trigger via Xpadder)
    Joy 6 (right bumper)
    Joy 3 (X)
    Joy 2 (B)
    Joy 4 (Y)
    Joy 5 (left bumper)

    Vision Modes
    Joy 7 (Back)
    empty (left trigger via Xpadder)
    DPadLeft
    DPadRight
    DPadUp
    DPadDown

    System

Primal, I just happened upon this post and was trying to get Chaos Theory working, I have the wireless xbox 360 controller and I tried your profile, along with the native gamepad support (is that what you are doing?) I chose to enable the joystick from within the game settings... When I try this my character just walks in circles to the left, but the triggers work fine. When I manually map w,a,s,d and turn off the joystick in game, movement is fine.

There seems to be a Dead Zone problem. Does it make different if you move the right stick slightly to down right?

Using Xpadder for the movement is no real possibility, because of the unusual system to alternate the movement speed in this game (mouse wheel).

Edit: I have found a value in an .ini file that defines the stick Dead Zone. But it is 30% and Xpadder only has 25% as standard value, so this cannot be the reason except you have changed this setting in Xpadder.

You can select which controller you want to use in the in the game. The setting is directly under the one that activates the gamepad support. Is there really the Xbox360 pad selected?
